Rockwall, TX (April 25, 2025) – In just their first season competing in 7v7 football, ShepUp Performance Center is already making waves on the national scene. The ShepUp 8th grade team brought home the championship trophy at the 2025 Battle of the Best National Qualifier tournament, earning a free bid to the Battle of the Best National Championship on May 17–18, 2025, at North Crowley High School. The 9th grade team also made an impressive run, finishing second and securing their own spot to the national competition. Both teams are now preparing to represent Rockwall on one of the biggest 7v7 stages in the country.
What makes this even more special is that these teams are made up entirely of young athletes from across the Rockwall and Heath communities, showcasing the depth of local talent and the strength of the ShepUp program. Powered by a mission to develop athletes both on and off the field, ShepUp Performance Center, founded by former NFL player JaCorey Shepherd, continues to create opportunities for youth through elite training and competitive experiences.
As these young athletes gear up for Nationals, ShepUp invites the entire Rockwall community to join in cheering them on as they represent our city with pride, passion, and purpose.
