Rockwall High School Senior Cheer Spotlight: Skylin Helms

Rockwall High School Senior Cheer Spotlight: Skylin Helms

Rockwall, TX (May 7, 2025) – Skylin Helms is a senior at Rockwall High School and a member of the RHS Varsity Cheer Team. Although this is only her second year at RHS and her first year cheering, she was excited to be part of a supportive team, creating lasting friendships and showing her school spirit while performing.

Before attending RHS, Skylin was homeschooled as she trained for a professional ballet career. She was a very successful pre-professional ballerina, winning many awards, traveling around the country and becoming one of the most accomplished young dancers in the world. Her dreams of a ballet career were interrupted by an unexpected hip condition that required major surgery. While the situation was challenging, Skylin jumped into public school and is making the most of her time at RHS.

Outside of school, Skylin loves spending time with friends and family, cooking, enjoying the outdoors, and working with Helms Hope (a local skin cancer non-profit). She is a member of Lake Pointe Church where she serves in the Cafe, is a leader at Vacation Bible School and serves on mission trips locally and internationally.

Skylin plans to attend Texas A&M University in the fall.
