Rockwall, TX (May 10, 2025) – Maddie Weir is our final Stingerette Senior Spotlight! She is the daughter of Crystal and Brandon Weir, and a proud three-year member of the team. Maddie has been a standout leader, serving as Captain for the 2024–2025 year after leading as a Lieutenant during the 2023–2024 season.
Known for her passion, drive, and dynamic leadership, Maddie has made an unforgettable mark on the Stingerettes. She has been a member of the prestigious Showstopper Elite Team and Kick Company from 2022–2025 and performed with the Hip Hop Company from 2022–2024. In 2024, she was honored as Positive Polly and named Rockwall High School’s Student of the Month — a true testament to her spirit on and off the field!
Maddie’s impressive performance career includes being a three-time MA Solo Champion (2023–2025), the ADTS Solo Champion in 2023, and the ADTS Nationals Solo Runner-Up in 2024. She helped lead her team to multiple top honors, including the ADTS Nationals Champion and Best of the Best titles for Elite, Officers, and Team in 2024, and MA’s Best of the Best awards the same year. She was also part of the Nationals Champion Elite and Team in 2023 and contributed to earning the RISD Trustee Award.
She proudly represented the Stingerettes at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2024 and on the Disney World Trip in 2024. Maddie’s journey has been filled with early success as well, serving as JV Captain in 2021–2022, leading the team to a Best of the Best title and an ADTS Nationals Championship.
Outside of drill team, Maddie has danced for 14 years as a member of the FDA Company and has been a strong academic performer, maintaining membership in the National Honor Society from 2022–2025.
In the fall, Maddie will attend Stephen F. Austin State University as a member of the Pom Squad, where she plans to major in Sports Business while continuing to chase her dreams in dance.
