Dallas, TX (June 6, 2025) – The Dallas return of Disney’s The Lion King opens tonight, Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Music Hall at Fair Park for a limited engagement of 5 weeks through July, 3. In Dallas, The Lion King will play Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 p.m., select Wednesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m., Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. & 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 1:00 p.m. & 6:30 p.m. There will not be a performance on Thursday, June 19.

The Lion King began as a 1994 animated feature-length film developed and produced by the Walt Disney Company. The story, a coming-of-age parable set among animals indigenous to its setting, the African savanna, tells the tale of Simba, the lion cub who rises to be the King of the jungle.
The production features Peter Hargrave (Scar), Mukelisiwe Goba (Rafiki), Drew Hirshfield (Zazu), Danny Grumich (Pumbaa), Erick D. Patrick (Simba), Thembelihle Cele (Nala), Forest VanDyke (Banzai), Martina Sykes (Shenzi), Sam Linda (Ed), Wiliam John Austin (Standby Scar, & Pumbaa) and Thom Christopher Warren (Standby Scar, Zazu, Timon & Pumbaa).

The role of Mufasa will be alternated between Darnell Abraham and Gerald Ramsey. The role of Timon will be alternated between Nick Cordileone and Robert Creighton.
The role of “Young Simba” is alternated between Bryce Christian Thompson and Julian Villela and the role of “Young Nala” is alternated between Jaxyn Damasco and Emmanuella Olaitan.
