Rockwall, TX (June 6, 2025) – Williams Middle School eighth-grade student Ashton F. has achieved high honors in the Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT) School Bus Safety Poster Contest, earning both regional and state-level recognition for her creative efforts.
Ashton first submitted her poster to the district-level contest, coordinated by the Rockwall ISD Transportation Department. After internal voting, her entry was selected to represent Rockwall ISD at the North Texas Chapter of TAPT (NTAPT) competition.
At the NTAPT meeting held in March, Ashton’s poster won 1st place in Division 3, distinguishing her among students across the region. She was recognized at the April NTAPT meeting, where she received a check for her first-place win.

Following her regional success, Ashton’s poster advanced to the statewide TAPT competition. In April, during the statewide TAPT meeting, her poster earned 2nd place in Division 3, a significant achievement showcasing her talent and commitment to school bus safety awareness.
Rockwall ISD and the Transportation Department congratulate Ashton F. for her outstanding accomplishment and for representing the district with creativity and excellence.
