Rockwall, TX (July 21, 2025) – The Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County is calling on the community to help support its Food For Kids program as it gears up for another impactful year. The program provides more than 600 food bags each month during the school year, ensuring local children have access to nutritious meals over the weekend.
Volunteers are invited to join upcoming lunch packing events scheduled for August 12, September 9, and October 7 at Divine Peace Church in Rockwall. These events offer a hands-on way to support children facing food insecurity in our community.

Community members can also make a difference by donating online at rockwallkiwanis.org/donations or by sending items directly from the program’s Amazon Wishlist, https://shorturl.at/ZWrEo.
“With rising food costs, every dollar and donation counts,” said a Kiwanis Secretary, Kate Sitzenstatter. “Just $4 can feed a child for the weekend, and every bit helps us reach the children who need it most.”
