Rowlett, TX (August 29, 2025) – Rowlett Reviews Book Club is excited to kick off another year of interesting conversation on Tuesday, September 16.
The first book review of the new season is a winner! Rebecca Blackwell will be presenting a review on “The Magical and Illuminating World of Dale Chihuly, renown Glass Artist” – this is based on a book entitled Chihuly on Fire by Henry Adams. You may remember the beautiful installation of Chihuly’s displays in the gardens at the Dallas Arboretum in 2012 – or if you have been to Crystal Bridges museum in Arkansas, his artwork was displayed throughout the woods on their property – and the ultimate display at the Rialto Bridge in Venice! Rebecca Blackwell presents a thorough biography of Chihuly along with a great display of his artwork on large posters for easy viewing!
As always, our book club opens at 9:30 with a display of appetizers for all to enjoy at the First Christian Church – 7301 Miller Road in Rowlett. The review starts promptly at 10:00.
