Rockwall, TX (September 12, 2025) — The Rockwall County Democratic Party strongly condemns the murder of political influencer Charlie Kirk and the tragic school shooting in Colorado, two devastating reminders of America’s ongoing gun violence crisis.
“Political violence is an insult to our democracy and the values we hold as Americans,” said the Rockwall County Democratic Party leadership. “We have always, and will always, condemn gun violence in all its forms.”
Party leaders expressed deep sorrow for the children and families affected by the Colorado school shooting, emphasizing the urgent need for change. “Our hearts are broken for these children and their families. No child should face danger in their classroom, and no parent should fear that sending their child to school may be the last goodbye they ever receive. Enough is enough.”
The Rockwall County Democrats reaffirmed their commitment to push for responsible, common-sense gun laws, stating: “Guns and hate are a fatal combination. The best way to honor lives lost is not only with words, but with decisive action to ensure these tragedies are never repeated.”
