Rockwall County residents can protect themselves with the Property Fraud Alert Service

Rockwall County (September 25, 2025) – Property fraud is one of the fastest-growing white-collar crimes in the United States. Criminals have been known to forge documents and fraudulently file deeds, liens, or other records to make it appear as though they legally own someone else’s home or property. Unfortunately, these fraudulent recordings can happen without a property owner’s knowledge until it’s too late.

To help combat this, Rockwall County is proud to offer a FREE Property Fraud Alert Service to all Landowners.

This service allows you to monitor documents recorded with the Rockwall County Clerk’s Office, using your name as the identifier. If a document is recorded in your name, you will receive an automatic alert by email, text, or phone, depending on your preference.

Why Sign Up?

  • Early Detection: Know within 72 hours if a document is filed using your name.
  • Peace of Mind: Deter potential fraud and take prompt action if suspicious activity occurs.
  • No Cost: This service is completely free to residents.
