Rockwall, TX (October 20, 2025) – National Drug Take Back Day provides an opportunity to dispose of unused medication in a safe, secure, and convenient manner. Organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration and supported by police departments across the United States, the program helps ensure that unused prescriptions do not fall into the wrong hands or enter the public waterways.
Rockwall residents can dispose of old, unused, out-of-date medications on Saturday, October 25 from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. The Rockwall Police Department will offer a drive-thru drop off at Rockwall Police Headquarters located at 205 West Rusk St. with officers and volunteers waiting to securely dispose of medications. Please note they are not able to take needles, aerosols, or liquids.
Your participation in the safe disposal of prescriptions during Drug Take Back Day helps reduce risk to family members, fellow community members, and the environment. For more information on the Drug Take Back visit the DEA’s website https://www.dea.gov/takebackday
