Rockwall, TX (October 23, 2025) – The Singing Men of Texas, North Central Chapter, recently returned from their latest mission trip to Europe. The group typically travels to Eastern Europe every two years for ministry opportunities with this year’s tour taking them to the Baltic Sea countries — Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland.

The choir and orchestra are led by Trent Blackley, Minister of Music and Worship at First Baptist Rockwall. Five members of the local First Baptist choir are members and joined the trip. In total, about 100 choir and orchestra members, along with some of their wives and ministry support teams, took part in the two-week journey.
Since 2007, The Singing Men of Texas, North Central Chapter, has partnered with Michael Gott International for their mission work. Michael Gott, a Gospel evangelist with more than 40 years of ministry experience in Eastern Europe, and his team handle all travel and event arrangements — including airline tickets, concert venues, buses, and hotels.

This most recent mission was one of their most impactful yet. The group traveled aboard the MS Nordstjernen, a historic ship built in 1956. Originally used for mail, cargo, and passenger transport, it was refurbished in 2013 into a comfortable charter cruise ship — serving as their home for the two-week tour.

Concerts were held in stunning, centuries-old cathedrals such as St. Michael’s Parish Church (Turku Cathedral) in Turku, Finland, and Oleviste Church in Tallinn, Estonia.
What seemed impossible at first — bringing the Gospel to the Baltic states — became reality through faith and perseverance. Two years ago, there was no ship available, no interest from cities, and no teams in place. Yet, Michael Gott and The Singing Men of Texas trusted that God would provide.
As Michael shared, “The bigness of the task brings possibilities… This task was an apparent impossibility for God’s glory.”
