Rockwall County, TX (December 17, 2025) – At a special meeting of the Rockwall County Commissioners Court held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, Attorney Keith Wheeler was appointed to complete the unexpired term of The Honorable Brian Williams as Judge of the Rockwall County Court at Law #1. Judge Williams had recently been sworn in as the 503rd District Court Judge, with his term as County Court Judge set to conclude at the end of 2026.
Wheeler appreciates the confidence the Commissioners Court has shown in this appointment and plans to be a responsible steward of the court during his tenure.
Keith Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree from Baylor University, both awarded in 1985. With over 40 years of legal practice, he is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Rockwall County Bar Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Dallas County Bar Association, the Dallas County Criminal Defense Association, and the Rockwall County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Wheeler resides in Rockwall County with his wife, Tina, and they are members of The First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
