Experienced litigator, husband, father, and volunteer vows to serve his community with honor, integrity, and dependability
Rockwall, TX (December 9, 2025) — Today, Ben A. Massar announced his candidacy for Rockwall County Court at Law #1. Massar enters the race with 30 years of legal experience, including serving as Rockwall County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace, Assistant District Attorney for Galveston County, and 24 years as a self-employed attorney, during which his caseload included criminal defense for both felonies and misdemeanors.
“I believe in hard work, honesty, and treating people with respect,” Massar said. “Those values have guided my entire career from my early days in the private sector to my years in public service. Rockwall County is more than where I work, it’s my home.”
In addition to his litigation background, Massar has demonstrated leadership within the legal community, serving as President of both the Rockwall County Bar Association and the Lamar County Bar Association. Beyond the courtroom, he is also a licensed real estate agent, working alongside his wife, Stacy, to help local families buy and sell homes. Massar serves alongside his wife and daughter, volunteering with multiple charity organizations, including Meals on Wheels, Rockwall Noon Rotary, Lakeshore Assisted Living, Food Bank Distribution, and Lakeshore Church.
Massar’s deep ties to the county and his decades of legal expertise position him as a highly qualified candidate dedicated to maintaining the professionalism and fairness expected of Rockwall County’s judiciary.
