Rockwall, TX (December 15, 2025) – On the festive evening of Friday, December 12, 2025, the Rockwall County Commissioners Court, along with cheerful residents and friends, came together for the second annual lighting ceremony of the County Christmas Tree at the Rockwall County Courthouse.
Community Life Church Rockwall (C|Life) led us in worship as the spirit of the season filled the air. We heard a heartfelt reading from the Gospel of Luke, recounting the miraculous birth of Jesus. Adding to the warmth of the celebration, Cornerstone Church generously provided delicious cookies and steaming hot cocoa for everyone.
The evening concluded with a candlelight singing of the beloved carol “Silent Night,” just as the tree was illuminated.
A huge shout-out goes to the Rockwall County Maintenance Department for their thoughtful planning and active participation, which truly made the evening unforgettable for all who joined in the festivities.
County Judge Frank New shared that special events like this highlight our good fortune to live, work, and raise our families in such a vibrant community.
It’s Christmas time in Rockwall County!
