The NASC Distinguished Student Leader Program is a recognition initiative designed for high school students in NASC member schools who demonstrate outstanding leadership skills. Participants complete a series of leadership tasks and activities, culminating in the creation of a comprehensive portfolio that showcases evidence of their leadership journey across various domains such as goal setting, team building and civic engagement. Upon successful completion, students are awarded the title of NASC Distinguished Student Leader, a prestigious accolade acknowledging their commitment and excellence in student leadership.
Max Watson is a four-year RHS Student Council member and has served as energy & environment committee chair, vice president of operations, president, and the Texas Association of Student Councils vice president student representative. He also serves in leadership positions in many other groups and organizations.
“Max has worked hard over the last four years in StuCo,” says Rockwall High School Student Council Advisor Tim Watson. “I run a rigorous program and push my students to be the best version of themselves. Max has stepped up to represent Rockwall Student Council locally as president, at the state level as the TASC vice president student representative, and now at the national level with this recognition.
