About the webinar
Presenters will review the critical role caregivers play in the successful completion of clinical services and explore strategies to strengthen engagement from the first appointment through ongoing participation.
Participants will examine the key protective factors and barriers that influence engagement in clinical services, including trust, access and prior experiences with care. The session will explore how professionals and caregivers perceive these services, the role larger systems play in shaping those perceptions, and how those dynamics affect sustained participation.
Attendees will leave with at least two research-based strategies to strengthen engagement among professionals and caregivers, with a focus on building trust, improving communication and supporting meaningful involvement in clinical services.
Dionna Weixel, licensed marriage and family therapist at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus Center on Child Abuse and Neglect, and Kelly Hagenbaugh, licensed social worker at Pennsylvania’s Creative Health Services and Mission Kids, will lead the presentation.
