ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (March 24, 2026) — For the fourth time in five years, the Rockwall-Heath High School a cappella group, Infiniti, is heading back to the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) National Competition in New York City.
Infiniti earned first place at the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Southwest Championship, securing a spot in the finals in New York City. Their performance also earned Best Choreography by senior Emily F. and Best Vocal Percussion by junior Gavin W. Infiniti will take the national stage on April 24 at The Town Hall in NYC’s Theatre District, where they will compete against the top nine high school a cappella groups in the country.

Choir Director Lauren Smith said many of the pieces in their set came from each student’s individual creativity. “I love how passionate each student is,” said Choir Director Lauren Smith. “A group of us would be sitting together, and there would be a light bulb moment about something we could adjust to perfect every little detail. I’m so thankful I get to work with these amazing kids!”
