FATE, TX (October 2, 2026) — Stephanie Adams, a former member of the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees and licensed real estate professional, recently announced that she is running for Fate City Council, Place 1 in the November 3rd special election.
Adams’ campaign will focus on steady leadership, responsible growth, public safety, and protecting taxpayers as Fate plans for its future.
“Fate’s growth brings opportunities, but every decision about development has lasting consequences for the people who live here,” Adams said. “Traffic, public safety, schools, and property values all deserve careful consideration. I’m running to make sure residents’ interests remain at the center of those decisions.”
Adams and her family have lived in the Fate community for over 20 years. She previously served on the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees from 2011 to 2023, including terms as president, vice president, and secretary. She also served on committees addressing land, facilities and construction, and finance.
During her time on the board, the district lowered its tax rate to its lowest level in 30 years while meeting the needs of a growing community. Adams also served on the Rockwall County Juvenile Board from 2020 to 2023.
As a licensed real estate professional, Adams brings experience and knowledge in how zoning, land use, density, and infrastructure decisions affect neighborhoods. She is also familiar with Municipal Utility Districts and Public Improvement Districts and the long-term financial obligations they can create for residents and cities.
“Responsible growth takes more than saying yes or no to a project,” Adams said. “I will examine proposals thoughtfully, ask how they fit Fate’s long-term vision, and work to ensure they strengthen our community, protect taxpayers, and provide lasting value for the people who call Fate home.”
Adams has also been involved with the Rockwall Women’s League, the National Charity League’s Lone Star Chapter, the Rockwall Area Chamber of Commerce, and Friends of the Library.
