ROCKWALL, TX – May 3, 2021 — Last week, students at Primrose School of Rockwall spent a lovely afternoon full of planting and fun with their grandparents.
Each year, the Primrose School of Rockwall welcomes grandparents to an annual planting event where students and grandparents team up to pot a plant of their choosing. Each duo receives a pot to decorate with paint, markers, stickers and more before heading to the school’s dedicated “Primrose Patch” where they choose a flower, plant it, water it and watch it grow! Last year, the annual event was canceled due to the pandemic making this year’s event that much more special.
The initiative’s goal of creating powerful bonding memories between children and their grandparents while encouraging curiosity, creativity, confidence and compassion continues for years after the day of the event; many students keep their plants at home for years to come, nurturing and watching them grow and instilling lifelong lessons.
