ROCKWALL, TX – March 31, 2022 — The Rockwall Stingerettes recently competed in the American Dance Drill Team Nationals Competition where they were awarded many national titles.
The Stingerette officers, the Stingerette showstoppers elite team, and the Stingerette line all competed, as well as many soloists and the JV Jacket Babes.
All teams brought home the Gussie Nell Davis award of excellence trophy. Stingerette showstoppers won National champions in elite jazz, national champion elite novelty, first runner up elite lyrical, national champion elite open. The Stingerette showstoppers also were selected as the Texas Motion Sports wow factor team for their elite lyrical performance. The Stingerette officers won first runner up in the jazz category. The officers were selected as a national champion officer novelty, national champion officer lyrical, national champion officer contemporary. They were also selected in the best of the best elite team and officers.
The Jacket Babes JV drill team also won best of the best for the JV division top score as well as winning all of their JV division routines first place. The Stingerette JVI and RDI instructors won national champions for their entry as well. The Stingerette Line won National Champion Lyrical team, and second runner up in the overall.
The top scoring public school category solo winner is Jolie Wilkerson. First runner up solo winner is Hadley Daffin. Third runner-up solo winner is Ellie Ortiz. Fourth runner-up solo winner Brynn Morrison. And fifth runner-up solo winner Brianna Buckner.
In the studio private division Junior soloist Sophia Blevins was the top scorer. In the JV/middle school category 1st place solo winner is our Alli Leff and second runner up Maddie Weir. That means Rockwall High School took home the top winners in both studio private and public school High school division and JV/middle school division.
