ROCKWALL, TX – April 14, 2022 — The Rockwall Rotary Club recognized two Rockwall ISD students during its meeting today as its Students of Honor – Nebbie Williams Elementary School student Kriston McClain and Rockwall-Heath High School student Cecelia Umoh.
Williams Elementary School Principal Paige White introduced Kriston and his family and presented him the honors. Kriston’s favorite things about school are reading and writing, and said one of his favorite hobbies is basketball.
“Kriston is a model student who is a natural leader,” White said. “He’s one of those students who leads by example. He is always kind and is a wonderful role model. Not only does he shine in academics, he also has his own business, in addition to some other interests.”
Rockwall-Heath High School Assistant Principal Jacob Payne welcomed Cecelia as their school’s Student of Honor, and read some praises from one of her teachers, Gennie Holcomb.
‘Cecelia is a bright light every day in first period,’ wrote Holcomb. ‘Her smile, generosity and genuine care for others is evident in all she does. She represents herself, her family, her school and her community so well. She’s a joy to teach and to learn from, and will no doubt continue to do great things in her life.’
Cecelia said her favorite thing about school is learning new things, and is grateful to all of her teachers and friends who helped her become the person she is today.
