Rockwall, TX (June 22, 2023) – During the 88th Regular Session, State Representative Justin Holland successfully passed House Bill 1195, also referred to as the ‘Dirty Deeds’ Law. Authored in the House by Rep. Holland and sponsored by Sen. Hall, HB 1195 will combat criminal deed fraud by granting County Clerk’s the authority to request a photo identification for the filing of property records.
Representative Holland extends a sincere thank you to Rockwall County Clerk Jennifer Fogg for her diligent work on this issue and support that ensured the passage of this critical piece of legislation. HB 1195 will positively impact, empower and protect Texas property owners for decades to come.
