Rockwall, TX (April 22, 2024) – Our next Stingerette Senior Spotlight is Avery Dearing. Avery is a three-year member of the team and the daughter of JD and Kanesha Dearing.
Avery is currently a member of both the Kick Company and Tap Company. She was named Stingerette of the Week this year and Positive Polly her junior year. She also received the Kindest Spirit Award in 2023 and Rosie the Riveter Award from the director in 2022.
She danced on this year’s ADTS 2023-2024 National Champion Super Team and Best of the Best Team. The team earned the ADTS Wow Award in the Production Category. She was also on the 2022-2023 ADTS National Champion Team Super Team which was recognized with a Rockwall ISD Trustee Award.
Avery performed with the team at Walt Disney World in 2022 and traveled to San Antonio in 2023. In January of this year, she danced at the Disney Imagination Campus Performance Workshop in Florida.
Avery was a member of the Jacket Babe JV Drill Team her freshman year which earned the ADTS National Champion JV Team title and ADTS Best of the Best Team in 2021. She is a member of the RHS National Honor Society and the National Society of High School Scholars. Creating so many unforgettable memories with her friends has been Avery’s favorite part of Stingerettes.
In the Fall, Avery will attend Baylor University to major in Business with a focus on Human Resource Management.
