Rockwall, TX (May 22, 2024) – The Rockwall County Library is kicking off an adventurous Summer Reading Club with a community extravaganza on Monday, June 3rd from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Registration for the summer reading club will open onsite with a variety of activities for all ages. See the Rockwall High School Yellow Jacket and Texas Roadhouse armadillo along with Rockwall County Sheriff’s Posse horses, Rockwall Fire Department fire truck, Republic Services recycle garbage truck and other attractions. The library will host crafts and activities for all ages.
Join the fun on Monday, June 3 and get ready for a Summer of reading and fun programming all summer long with incentives such as gift cards, free food coupons, toy prizes, and larger prize raffles. Some events require pre-registration so make sure to check out all the information online or onsite at the library.
The Summer Reading Club is for ages 3-11 with children or parents tracking time spent reading with a log provided during club registration. Additional children’s programming for the summer includes Storytime for all ages, Explorers Club, Movie Mondays, and Wacky Wednesdays. The Teen Read Program incorporates a variety of activities such as reading, cooking, creating vision boards and more into their log as well as special events. Each returned log is an entry into the prize raffle. Logs are to be returned by Saturday, August 3rd for inclusion in the drawing.
