Rockwall, TX (May 28, 2024) – Our next Senior Spotlight is Julieann Fleming. Juieann is the daughter of Cherise and Michael Fleming. She currently holds the position of Lieutenant on the officer line and is a three-year member of the team.
During her junior year, Julieann served as a Rockwall Dance Instructor working with the middle school drill teams. In recognition of her discipline and efforts, she was voted Junior of the Year and Most Outstanding Showstopper by her teammates in 2023.
During her years on the team, Julieann has been a member of Kick Company, Hip Hop Company and Tap Company. She is a two-year member of the Showstoppers Elite Team and earned a spot among the Top Five at line tryouts in 2021. She has also been recognized with the weekly awards of Spirit Girl and Positive Polly.
She danced this year at the ADTS 2023-2024 Nationals with the team; earning first place as a Super Team and Best of the Best Team overall at the contest. The team also placed second in the International Division. They received special recognition with the Wow Award in the Production Category and were named a Wish Come True Team.
Julieann danced with the officers and Showstoppers Elite Team which also won National Champion and Best of the Best titles at the ADTS Nationals. In addition, both of these groups won first place and achieved Best of the Best at the MA Regionals this year.
During her freshman year, Juliann was a member of the Jacket Babe JV Drill Team. That team also earned the title of National Champion and Best of the Best Team at ADTS Nationals in 2021.
Julieann has been in dance training since the age of two and spent the last four years dancing with the Dance FX Studio where she is currently a member of their Senior Company. This team won first place and Best of the Best in the private studio division and first place in the International Division at the ADTS Nationals in March of this year.
Julieann will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall to pursue a degree in business.
