Opening in December 2025, IKEA Rockwall will be the third store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, conveniently located with access to major highways connecting Dallas to Texarkana and Little Rock.
Conshohocken, PA – (November 12, 2024) – Today, IKEA U.S. is excited to announce its plans for IKEA Rockwall, which is slated to open December 2025, in the Dallas-Fort Worth market. IKEA is on a journey in the U.S. to become more accessible, affordable and convenient for the many and this small format store offers a new way of reaching customers both in-store and digitally.
“Our expansion goal is simple. We will be where people are, whenever and however they want to experience IKEA,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S. “We have been testing different store formats to increase customer convenience, make home delivery more cost-efficient, and reach our customers where they live, work, and socialize. IKEA Rockwall represents a key milestone in this ongoing journey.”
Customers will be able to purchase in-store and take-home items that provide affordability, sustainability, and organization solutions. Larger furniture items like sofas and beds will be available to order for delivery or in-store pick-up. And yes, there will be meatballs! IKEA Food will be represented with the new Swedish Deli concept, a Swedish cafe to enjoy meals onsite and a Swedish Bistro for quick takeaway items that can be enjoyed in the outdoor seating area or at home.
The space will include multiple fully furnished room settings to explore. These thoughtfully designed spaces will showcase “local living” solutions reflecting the unique everyday needs of the residents of the local community and its surroundings. Additionally, IKEA Rockwall’s design will include features for improved sustainability, specifically solar power, LEED certified construction, EV chargers, onsite recycling and native plant materials to reduce water consumption.
“We are strongly committed to the communities in which we operate. IKEA Rockwall provides an even more seamless omnichannel shopping experience throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area, and we look forward to welcoming residents and surrounding neighbors to this new IKEA experience,” said Rob Parsons, Area Market Manager, IKEA U.S. “
IKEA is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience with a variety of customer meeting points and locations that complement each other and meet people’s different needs. With its growing presence throughout the U.S., IKEA is continuously exploring new ways to be closer to its customers, while constantly improving its customer experience, supply chain and fulfillment network.
