Community members come together to support Lone Star CASA children

Lone Star CASA with gifts from members of Lakepointe Church – Kersh Life Group

Rockwall, Texas (December 20, 2024) – In a heartwarming display of community spirit, multiple organizations and individuals made generous toy and gift donations to the children served by Lone Star CASA in time for every child in Rockwall and Kaufman to receive the spirit of Christmas.

Contributing to the cause were several local organizations:

  • Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority – Forney Chapter
  • Matthias Catholic Church
  • Team Izzy Foundation, and many other groups and individual community members all contributed to the Christmas gifts & stockings for CASA children this year.

“We are so thankful for all of the donations we have received for the kids this year,” said Lauren Rowe, Executive Director of Lone Star CASA. “Christmas is a season for family and loved ones, but it can be difficult to feel that joy when the children are often away from their families. These gifts brighten their Christmas morning.”

CASA Volunteers, also known as Court Appointed Special Advocates, are specially trained and appointed by judges to advocate for a child or sibling group while they are in the child welfare system.
