Rockwall, TX (September 8, 2025) – On Thursday evening September 4, Rockwall Rotarians gathered at Brookhaven Country Club with clubs throughout Rotary District 5810 to celebrate a successful year of Service Above Self. Our mission, to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace, is achieved through the devotion of each club and Rotarian who work to make our communities and our world better.

Emcee Lorne Liecthy, member of Rockwall Noon Rotary Club, expressed the significance of the annual event saying, “I was honored to Emcee this annual District Rotary Event, and especially proud of the awards given to the Rockwall Noon Rotary Club and its members.”
Rockwall Noon Rotary, led by Darby Nielsen during the 2024-2025 term, is proud to congratulate the following Rotarians for recognition of their service and commitment!

Amongst other projects, Stacy has committed to serving alongside the Rockwall High School Interact Club and working with the campus sponsor has seen great increases in club participation and membership.

John and Janie Curtis were named to the Arch Klumph Trustees Circle. This prestigious recognition recognizes their years of service and support to the local club and the larger Rotary Foundation. With over 35 years as a Rotarian, John served as Prior District Governor for 2023-2024, and he and Janie have been major donors for numerous Rotary projects. John was also honored with the prestigious Ethics Award, for the manner in which he demonstrates the spirit of Rotary ethics and leadership and the lasting impression his service has on those he encounters.

Harold Snyder received the Star Award for the hours he spends supporting the Rockwall Club in a variety of ways. Harold has been a tireless community servant for many years, always willing to step in and serve each project and our individual club and fellow Rotarians however he can. His desire to serve is only matched by his humility and our club remains deeply appreciative of his service.

The Rockwall Noon Rotary Club was awarded the Foundation Award (Large Club), led by Christpher Steinsholt. This award recognizes a club’s use and participation in service projects utilizing a Rotary Foundation global or district grant. Our Club was recognized for a joint project benefiting Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County and our annual scholarship program.
“These recognitions are not just banners or titles – they reflect the hard work, heart, and dedication of an incredible group of Rotarians committed to ‘Service Above Self.’ From impactful community projects to youth development, our club came together in meaningful ways to make a real difference,” said Past President, Darby Nielsen. “I am deeply proud of what we accomplished together and grateful to see our efforts recognized at the district level.”
The Rockwall Noon Rotary Club kicked off a new year in July with the induction of new President for 2025-2026, Kenda Culpepper, and leadership team. With many new projects being implemented, the coming year is expected to be another successful year of community involvement.
“While Rotarians do not serve for recognition, as a Club it is rewarding to see the hours and dedication of our members acknowledged by their peers,” Noon Rotary President Kenda Culpepper said. Adding, “We are so proud of these extraordinary individuals and of 2024-2025 Rotary President Darby Nielsen!”
