Rockwall County Tax Office prepares for move to new Courthouse Annex building

The Rockwall County Tax Office is moving to the new Courthouse Annex located at 1101 E. Yellow Jacket Lane, Suite 110, Rockwall, TX 75087.

Rockwall, TX (September 15, 2025) – Exciting changes are on the horizon as the Rockwall County Tax Office is preparing to move to the brand-new Rockwall County Courthouse Annex! Located at 1101 E. Yellow Jacket Lane, Suite 110, Rockwall, TX 75087, this modern facility promises to enhance your experience.

Mark your calendars: the Tax Office in the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Rockwall will have its last day of operation on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Following this, the office will close from Friday, September 19, through Monday, September 22, 2025, as we transition to our new location.

Until then, we are happy to continue providing essential services such as vehicle registration, title transfers, and disability placard services at the Historic Courthouse, as we have for nearly 14 years.

We can’t wait to welcome you back for business on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at our new location. The County Tax Office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Our new facility is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind! Anticipate a smoother experience with our innovative queuing system, which will allow you to specify the purpose of your visit and connect with a dedicated clerk ready to assist you. Instead of waiting in line, you’ll be able to relax in our comfortable lobby and use our desk areas to complete your paperwork.

We offer improved access and convenient parking that will make your visit to the Tax Office even easier.
