The Great Gatsby takes the stage at Rockwall High School

Rockwall High School Theatre program showcases F. Scott Fitzgerald’s American classic opening October 2

Rockwall, TX (September 29, 2025) – Rockwall High School Theatre Booster Club announces the opening of the latest stage production, The Great Gatsby, adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. The production opens Thursday, Oct. 2, showcasing a deep bench of talent – both on and offstage. 

RHS theatre department says it will not only feature students performing, but every aspect of the show production is led by talented students.

“The troupe features student designers, directors, actors and technicians of all kinds,” said Virginia McGuire, director of theatre, Rockwall High School. “It is truly a student-led production. Although it is a tragedy, the show won’t disappoint.”

Show times at the Performing Arts Center (located by Utley Middle School) are as follows:

·       7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025

·       7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025

·       2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025
