Put love into action this Valentine’s season through community service

Rockwall, TX (January 27, 2026) – Valentine’s Day is often filled with flowers, candy, and cards—but some of the most meaningful expressions of love are shared through service and connection. This season, community members are invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving their time and compassion to others right here at home.

Through JustServe.org, individuals, families, and groups can easily find nearby opportunities to make a difference. Whether you’re looking to serve for an hour or make a bigger impact with an ongoing project, there are many ways to put love into action this season—beyond a box of chocolates.

A few local opportunities to serve this Valentine’s season include:

  • Feed the City Rockwall (Saturday, Feb. 14) or Royse City (Saturday, Feb. 7): Help donate and pack meals for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. Sharing a meal is a powerful way to show care and compassion.
  • Valentines From the Heart: Create loving cards for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, or donate new blank Valentine cards for kids in shelters to use for their Valentine’s Day parties. A few thoughtful words and the opportunity for kids to participate in sharing love—can make a lasting difference.
  • Allan’s Companions by Meals on Wheels: Serve through companionship by offering friendship, presence, and support to homebound individuals who would benefit from meaningful connection.
  • Friends of Rescue Animals: Animal lovers can help care for pets awaiting forever homes with Friends of Rescue Animals, spreading love to our four-legged friends.
  • Special Olympics Area 10 Basketball Tournament: Support athletes and celebrate inclusion by volunteering at the Special Olympics Area 10 Basketball Tournament, an inspiring event filled with teamwork, joy, and community spirit. This is a great opportunity to volunteer as a family, group, or individual.

This Valentine’s season, consider sharing love that makes an impact—built on kindness, service, and connection. To learn more about these opportunities and many others, visit JustServe.org and discover how easy it is to make a difference and put love into action through service.
