Set on its award-winning patio, the experience blends Southern elegance with McRae’s signature eclectic style—covered, spacious, and designed for comfort with heat on cooler days and circulating air when it’s warm. It’s the perfect place to sip, socialize, and take in the excitement of race day in true Derby fashion.
All featured Derby cocktails will be available for $10, each crafted to capture the spirit of the day. The classic Mint Julep, made with Woodford Reserve, delivers a refreshing balance of mint and bourbon. The Woodford Spire offers a bright, citrus-forward profile with Woodford Reserve, lemonade, cranberry juice, and a lemon twist. For something a bit more celebratory, the Derby Julep blends champagne, Jameson, pineapple syrup, lime juice, and fresh mint leaves for a crisp, elevated finish.
These pair perfectly with Chef’s Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders, a Derby-inspired dish featuring roasted turkey, hot Swiss cheese fondue, crispy bacon, tomato, and green onion—an elevated take on a time-honored favorite.
Race post time is set for 5:57pm CT, making McRae’s the perfect setting to gather, sip, and watch the most exciting two minutes in sports.
Guests are encouraged to arrive in their finest Derby attire. A series of contests will add to the excitement of the day, including Best Hat, Best Dressed Female, and Best Dressed Male, each awarding a $50 gift card. Guests can also participate in a Derby Winner contest by drawing a horse’s name—if your horse wins, you’ll receive a $50 gift card, with multiple winners possible.
