(ROCKWALL, TX — April 10, 2017) Volunteers and tutors with the Rockwall Reading for Adults Literacy Program served up an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast with sausages and scrambled eggs on Saturday, April 8, at Applebee’s Grill & Bar (Rockwall, TX). Proceeds from the fundraising event will help provide teaching materials for the Literacy Center in the Rockwall County Library.
Serving Rockwall county for over 17 years, RFA provides free adult educational services. Classes include English as a Second Language (ESL), GED studies and preparation, Citizenship preparation and Adult Literacy. With over 300 adult students and 70 local volunteer tutors, the program is headquartered in the Rockwall County Library, with several alternative locations for classes. Adults interested in class schedules or testing for ESL, GED or Citizenship courses should visit the Literacy Center in the Rockwall County Library or call (972) 204-7705.
