(ROCKWALL, TX — August 7, 2017) The second annual Restory Conference will be held at Pier 419 at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event’s theme this year is “Restory your Relationships,” with an emphasis on helping men and women move through relational heartache toward wholeness and openhearted living.
“This year’s conference will donate a percentage of the profits to the Children’s Advocacy Center of Rockwall County,” said Restory’s founder, Mary DeMuth. “What a beautiful partnership in helping children find hope and help in the midst of their own turmoil.”
The conference is the brainchild of local author and speaker Mary DeMuth who suffered from a difficult childhood—peppered with sexual abuse, several parental divorces, the death of a parent, and an unsafe home. Having experienced radical healing after becoming a Christian through the ministry of Young Life, DeMuth has made it her mission to help people who struggle—particularly in their current relationships.
DeMuth, a longtime Rockwall resident, is the traditionally published author of over 30 books, including her latest: Jesus Every Day (Harvest House Publishers), and The Wall Around Your Heart: How Jesus Heals You When Others Hurt You (Harper Collins Publishing).
“All are welcome to the Restory Conference,” DeMuth said. “We will feature four storytellers from around the area and the world who will share their own relationship struggles and how God has restoried them. I will teach people how to move on and find joy after relational strife. And we will feature Rockwall worship leaders Jake and Ally Glover throughout the morning.”
Sponsors include Compassion International, Harvest House Publishers, and local business, Church Ink. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at restoryconference.us.
