(ROCKWALL, TX – November 3, 2017) The Rockwall Noon Rotary recognized Leila Mendiola, a 6th grader at Rochell Elementary School, as the Rotary Student of Honor this week. Rotarian David Sweet presented Mendiola with the award at the Noon Rotary’s meeting on Thursday, Nov. 2.
Rochell Elementary School Principal Kelli Crossland shared a few words from Mendiola’s teachers regarding her leadership in and out of the classroom, her always-positive attitude, and her willingness to help others. Mendiola also plays a vital part in the Star TV Announcement team as well as in the Leader in Me club.
