(ROCKWALL, TX – August 20, 2018) The Rockwall County Commissioners Court recognized two special individuals as Employees of the Quarter during its regular meeting on Tuesday, August 14.
Rockwall County Sheriff Harold Eavenson presented Sheriff’s Office Deputy Felipe Sauceda with the Employee of the Quarter award and a Lifesaving Award for his heroic actions at Luby’s restaurant on May 5, 2018. Sauceda was in the restaurant when he observed a woman in a booth gasping for air and clutching at her throat. He administered the Heimlich maneuver and after three or four attempts, was able to dislodge a piece of steak from the woman’s throat.
“Deputy Sauceda’s actions in our opinion saved that woman’s life,” Eavenson said. “I would like to congratulate him on receiving this award as well as the Employee of the Quarter.”
Also recognized as Employee of the Quarter was Dayna Foreman of the Rockwall County Indigent Healthcare Department, for her hard work in helping the County save $63,000 in providing healthcare in the jail.
“Dayna’s willingness to take on difficult projects, like the jail medical bills, has really impressed me,” said Department Director Donna Mussotter. “She was instrumental in planning and implementing the process by which the medical bills are handled in our office. I’ve always found Dana to be dependable, efficient and unfailingly punctual. She is easily the most compassionate person I know.”
“Being able to recognize the Employees of the Quarter is always one of the neatest things that we get to do,” said County Judge David Sweet. “We’ve got so many folks who do an outstanding job on behalf of the citizens of Rockwall County, and I want to thank these two individuals for the excellent work they do on a daily basis.”
