(ROCKWALL, TX — January 11, 2019) Liberty Heights recently hosted a Happy New Year 2019 party for World War ll Veterans. Local men and women of the greatest generation from Rockwall attended. Men who served from all branches of the military during the war celebrated the New Year with great fellowship and companionship.
Jeff Watters accepted a resolution from State Senator Bob Hall honoring Jeff’s father, Paul Watters, a WWII Navy pilot veteran who recently passed away. The resolution recognized Paul’s community service and contribution to the nation as a WWII Navy pilot who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross award. Commander Mark Kipphut of Terry Fisher American Legion Post of Rockwall presented the resolution to Jeff during the celebration.
