The Rockwall Youth Cheer Association invites moms and daughters to join them for their upcoming 2020 cheer season. RYCA was created to be a recreational sideline cheer program for the Rockwall community. Their goal is to instill a sense of pride, build friendships and work together as a team, but mostly to HAVE FUN!!
The program offers opportunities for girls to cheer for the youth Jackets football teams – Kindergarten through 6th grade.
The cheerleaders will have an opportunity to learn a half-time routine to music and perform at the Spirit Celebration Cheer Competition at UNT Denton at the end of the season on Nov. 15th. The teams have a great time supporting their local community by participating in the Rockwall 4th of July parade, Homecoming parade, and Christmas parade! They also have the opportunity to participate in the Rockwall High School football pre-game ceremonies.
RYCA is organized by the amazing support of parent volunteers who serve as leaders, coaches, team moms and in various other positions that help make the squads the best they can be.
Registration for the program is available online at http://www.rycayouthsports.com/jackets-cheer.html. Rockwall High School cheerleaders will host a mandatory cheer camp July 22-25. Cheer practices start the week of July 27th and games start in September. Go Jackets! JFND!
