Campisi’s: 65-year Dallas tradition now open in Rockwall

For so many of us who have grown up in the Dallas area, nothing conjures up excitement about Italian food more than the Campisi name.

Campisi’s has been the epitome of Italian dining in Dallas since 1946. And it still remains the number one pick for pizza in the Metroplex.

Everyone is probably most familiar with the original location on Mockingbird Lane opened by Joe Campisi, which is packed full of tradition and great memorabilia from years past. But beyond that, generations of the Campisi family have opened six other locations –  in Downtown Dallas, Frisco, Inwood Village, Love Field, and on Campbell Road and in Plano.

The new Campisi's location offers a stylish and intimate setting, perfect for pairing with a movie at The Harbor.

Now Rockwall is part of the Campisi restaurant family. The new location is in The Harbor on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. It is located right next to Coldstone.

The new space that David Campisi has transformed is stylish and intimate, and it successfully brings together traditional pictures which adorn the walls, with the chic feel of popular trendy hot spots. Which makes it a really nice atmosphere to relax enjoy pizza and a glass of wine, before or after catching a movie at the theater.

When stopping in to visit the Rockwall location, many may be expecting to see the full menu featured at the original Mockingbird restaurant, but the local menu highlights their most popular items, and brings to the forefront  their legendary pizza, a variety of salads and bread, and their famous crab claws. They also have some great dessert options to choose from as well, plus some a good variety of wine choices.

David, who is dedicated to community involvement and charitable endeavors, has already begun to reach out in Rockwall County organizations. He is a big supporter of local charitable organizations, local groups, schools, churches, and community sports programs, and of course, The Harbor District.

Campisi’s offers “Community Partnership” nights to benefit local schools. On these evenings, 15% of sales are given to the scheduled school. And, they are also in the process of launching additional community focused initiatives.

The Harbor location hours of operation are Monday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. They also offer limited delivery as well as online ordering at campisis.us  or give them a call at 469-402-2603.
