Cain MS orchestra students perform at Meyerson Symphony Center

(Rockwall ISD) May 9, 2012 – Cain Middle School 8th grade orchestra students, Sarah Di Girolamo, viola, and Sarah Boronkay, cello, were privileged to perform onstage at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas on Sunday, May 6 in a concert celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras.

Both students are members of the prestigious GDYO Dallas String Ensemble conducted by Susan Younghans.

The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras is dedicated to providing music education and performance opportunities for musically talented youth.

The GDYO program cultivates learning, creative, social and motivational skills. Over 400 talented musicians perform in seven ensembles and socialize with a diverse group of highly talented peers from more than 50 communities. Greater Dallas Youth Orchestras musicians also interact with professionals from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, the Dallas Wind Symphony and other local ensembles.
