Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County honors volunteers

ROCKWALL, TX (April 4, 2014) Congratulations to Ginny Gorman on being recognized for outstanding volunteerism by Meals on Wheels Senior Services of Rockwall County. Ginny was presented with the ‘Annie Cornelius Friends of Seniors Award’ by MOWSS Executive Director Margie VerHagen.

“Ginny dedicates countless hours on the phone coordinating our other volunteers’ route assignments. We cannot thank her enough for all she does for MOWSS and for the seniors in our community,” said Verhagen.

All Meals on Wheels volunteers give unselfishly of their time to fulfill the organization’s mission of keeping the elderly and disabled citizens of Rockwall County living in their homes as long as safely possible through supportive services, nutritious meals and daily human contact. A Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon was held today in their honor.
