ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 18, 2015) Rock Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care celebrated its one-year anniversary in style on Thursday with a good food and a homage to its first-ever residents. The residents at Rock Ridge also had their paintings put on display from their recent visit to Painting with a Twist.

The anniversary marks Rock Ridge’s first full year in the Rockwall community providing care for its senior citizens and serving residents through activities such as donations to the Rockwall County Helping Hands and the Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall County.

Executive Director Jason Wood said the Rock Ridge retirement community is currently at 93 percent occupancy, an amazing feat considering that most assisted living communities take anywhere from 24 to 30 months to reach max occupancy.

“It seems like everyone in the community is reaching out to us,” Wood said. “We here at Rock Ridge have a responsibility to Rockwall and its residents, so we want to give back to the community.”

Millie Dobbs and Hazel Cagle were honored during the celebration as the first ever residents of the Rock Ridge assisted living community when it opened its services to the public a year ago. Francis Wynn, who has already passed on, was also one of the first residents of the Rock Ridge community.

Rock Ridge is located at 720 East Ralph Hall Parkway, and offers its residents choices by working with each resident, their loved ones, and medical providers to design a personalized plan of care to meet each resident’s wants and needs. Rock Ridge’s specially-trained memory care staff will also provide top quality care for those with dementia and Alzheimer’s. For more information visit signatureseniorliving.com/.
