Rockwall ISD athletes nominated for All American Games

ROCKWALL, TX (Jan. 28, 2015) Rockwall ISD is honored to announce that two Rockwall High School seniors, Sara Williamson and Austin Grandstaff, have been nominated for the 2015 McDonald’s All American Games.

The athletes will be presented awards from McDonald’s representatives on Monday, February 2 at 7 p.m. at the Meet the Jackets event at Rockwall High School. Sara Williamson is in the top 10 in Conference 6A in points per game with 17.5 points a game and helped place the Lady Jackets in position to win District 11-6A this season. Sara is 1 of 44 girls in Texas to receive the nomination.

Austin Grandstaff is currently leading Conference 6A in points per game with 27.9 points a game. Grandstaff has scored 50 points in two games this year! He is has committed to play for Ohio State this fall. Austin is 1 of 24 boys in Texas to receive the nomination.

This year is the 38th Anniversary of the All American Games. Of the 800 nominees, 24 male and 24 female athletes will be chosen to compete in the McDonald’s All American Games in Chicago, Illinois. The final team for the 2015 McDonald’s All American Games will be announced during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU on January 28 at 5 p.m.
