AUSTIN, TX – Today, State Representative Elect Justin Holland (R-Rockwall) filed House Bill 457, relating to the confidentiality of certain home address information in ad valorem tax appraisal records.

“Currently, the tax code allows for peace officers to keep their appraisal records confidential,” said Rep-elect Holland. “HB 457 extends the confidential option to the spouse or surviving spouse and adult children of peace officers. It’s important we not only back the blue, but also their families.”
