BoomerJack’s Grill & Bar in Murphy will host a Back-to-School Bash and school supply drive from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13. The event, which benefits Wylie is HOPE, is open to all families and will take place in the parking lot between BoomerJack’s and Wal-Mart, 158 W. FM 544.
Families will enjoy free food, an obstacle course, bounce houses, balloon artists, face painters, musical entertainment and a special appearance by the City of Murphy Fire Department.
A part of the school supply drive, patrons of the event can qualify for Texas Rangers Family 4-packs every 30 minutes. The prize package includes tickets to a Rangers home game, bus passes to the Ballpark from the BoomerJack’s Arlington location, free appetizer and drinks.
The event is made possible through a partnership with Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market. Wylie is HOPE provides school supplies to students facing economic hardships in the Wylie ISD.
School supply donations may be dropped off in collection boxes at BoomerJack’s and Wal-Mart through Aug. 13. Donations will also be accepted during the event itself.
