Public hearings begin on DISD redistricting

Public hearings on Dallas ISD redistricting are set for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug.1; Thursday, Aug. 4; Tuesday, Aug. 9; and Tuesday, Aug. 16.

On Aug. 1, those interested in submitting comments may do so at one of two hearing locations: DeGoylyer ES, 3453 Flair Drive  and Tommie Allen Recreation Center, 7071 Bonnie View. The remaining hearings will be held in the board room of the DISD Administration Building, 3700 Ross Ave. Board-established guidelines require that public comments must be submitted in writing even if they are made orally at a hearing. Preliminary plans for the trustee districts will be available at each hearing and are also available for public inspection during business hours at the DISD Administration Building. You may also view the plans here.

Any new plans that are proposed must conform to the redistricting criteria adopted by the Board and available for reference here.
