Dogs will dig canine costume contest at Doggie Dive-In

(Lewisville) People are not the only ones who like to take a refreshing dip in the pool. Dog-lovers are invited to bring their darling canines to Sun Valley Aquatic Center for a morning full of four-legged fun during Doggie Dive-In from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 10.

Contests include Best Costume, Best Trick, Longest Jump and Fastest Ball Retrieval. Written proof of current Bortatella, DHLP and Rabies vaccinations must be presented upon check-in on the day of the event. Only dogs will be permitted in the water. 

Cost is $4 per dog (free for humans) and space is limited to 250 dogs. For information, call the Frederick P. Herring Recreation Center at 972-219-3560 or  Memorial Park Recreation Center at 972-219-5061. 

Sun Valley Aquatic Center is located at 801 S. Valley Parkway (behind Lewisville High School).
