Grand opening at Terrell Bingo hall Saturday

[] (Terrell) – The grand opening of Terrell’s Best #1 Bingo will be this Saturday, featuring bingo games for cash and charity, plus appearances by impersonators “Marilyn Monroe” and “Betty Boop,” continuous music, food and drawings for a 32″ TV.

The new Bingo hall is located at 14701 Hwy. 205, just north of Terrell, on the road to Rockwall.

According to owner Judy Michlin, who owns two other DFW-area Bingo halls, bingo sessions will be held every Friday through Sunday at 12:15 pm and 7:15 pm. She and manager Marla Gatlin are excited about opening their third location in Terrell.

“We have a great new location, great people, great food. Tons of fun! The building is completely remodeled. Come on out and make a day of it!” said Gatlin.

This Saturday, fun, food and entertainment will begin at 11:15 am, featuring DJ “R.M.,” live music by Mark Franks, plus bingo sessions beginning at 12:15 and 7:15 pm.

Impersonators Stacy Dominguez (pictured) and Carol Cohen will appear as Marilyn Monroe and Betty Boop, respectively, at 4 pm.

Gatlin said the snack bar will serve cold drinks and snacks all day and night. Non-smokers will never have to enter the smoking area.

A portion of Terrell’s #1 Best Bingo’s proceeds will initially go to the Grand Prairie Police Association. Local charities will soon benefit, as well.
