Parking lot grill creates a buzz at Jackets Homecoming

And the dream continues…

(Rockwall) The late Pat Grady, founder of Lakeside Chevrolet, former Rockwall ISD School Board member and YMCA Horned Frogs football team coach, firmly believed that the combination of community, athletics and academics would give students a firm basis for life after high school.

To carry out that belief, his wife Carol Grady and son-in-law Bob Holliman of Lakeside Chevrolet, made available the “parking lot grill” as well as donating the burgers to be cooked, to the Freshman Rockwall HS football players, trainers and coaches for their homecoming festivities on Sept. 22.

A swarm of Jacket freshman moms decorated the lunch area, donated and served the “fixin’s” as well as did the clean-up at the end of the highlight of the RHS Homecoming 2011 week. The cooks for the meal, Anthony Brigham, Ron Evans and Clarence Plagens took advantage of the tent when a small rainstorm blew through the area.
