(Rowlett) Guests are welcome when the Rowlett Democratic Club meets at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at Dos Charros Restaurant, 5203 Rowlett Road, for an analysis and discussion on the 10 state propositions to be voted on Tuesday, Nov. 8. This is an opportunity to find out what the propositions really mean, so voters can make an informed decision at the polls.
To get started before coming to the meeting, read more about the state propositions at votexas.org/exp-statements-2011.html.
For time and locations for early voting and voting day, go to ci.rowlett.tx.us/index.aspx?NID=963 .
The second part of the RDC meeting will feature Charlie Whitaker, Community Liason for the United Way, who will explain how to access services. This is important information for those trying to make it through these hard economics times and need a helping hand.
Bring food items to donate to the local food pantry.
